After their first night in Harrenhal proper, Lady Saesha comes down to see the blacksmith. She had Simon Whent stay back at the castle, for fear of her reputation in the town rather than fear for his life. If he were to meet an unfortunate end she would not lose any sleep over it.
She entered the forge when she arrived, asking the two guardsmen who came with her to wait outside, not wanting to seem threatening.
She smiled as she entered, looking round for the smith. All this forced smiling was going to give her wrinkles, maybe she should use her sisters secret to youth, but be a lot more subtle about it than Lothston. She was hilarious even in her own head.

She found Jaime shirtless by the forge, repairing hinges and nails to repair the Western Gate. Each was the size of a regular sword. As he finished cooling one in sand, he looked up to see the Lady Saesha. He bowed, "My lady." And removed his gloves as he approached. He gave her a friendly smile, though there was clearly much strain and despair in his eyes after the events of the past week.

"Hello Jaime," she greeted, "I hope I find you as well as can be expected," she had genuine sympathy for the man and the losses of the town. What Lothston did was beyond awful and all on the word of her own brother, Bloodraven deserved a worse death than he got.
"I had a couple of things I would like to ask and discuss with you, if you could spare me a moment." she gave him a beautiful smile, one ever her famed sister, Shiera would have been proud of.

(Success. Personal disposition raised by 1.) "Of course." He pulled out a pair of stools and let her sit first. "How may I assist you?" Few knights, due to doing little outside of the occasional battle, were as visibly fit as a town smith and his close proximity seemed to prove it.
"My wife has fresh water in the next room, should you be thirsty."

Saesha had had her fill of sexual exploits for the time being, and did not even register the hard muscle before her.
Before sitting she pulled Lady Lothston's armour out, "I know it may seem imprudent to ask, but I left my war attire in King's Landing, I did not think I would need it now, but it struck me that you can never be too careful. If you would rather I ask Harrenhal's smith to work on it, I understand, please feel free to refuse if you wish, but I hope you would accept it as helping me forge something new from the ashes of the old."

"Well..." He reached under a table and pulled out a piece of chalk and a wooden board to write with. "I crafted armor for the late Lady Lothson before..." He didn't finish the sentence. He couldn't. "Anyway... Crafting armor for a woman is difficult, because every woman has different...' He didn't quite blush before politely using the phrase, "measurements. So I would have to study your figure first. I could guess from just looking at you, but I can't promise it will be of the highest quality." He spoke softly, as though choosing every word carefully, though his diction and grammar were excellent for his social class. This was a cautious man. He had to be. "I don't know if you would feel comfortable with the process, my lady but yes, I could craft you a worthy armor if you desire it."

"Oh no, I would not want to take up too much of your time, I was merely hoping you could alter this for me, change the sigil, maybe the colour in some places, I know the leather on the whole thing cannot be changed, but the colour on the detailing. Then of course, Lady Lothston had different measurements to myself," she smiled reassuringly at him, "but I would hope it was not beyond your capabilities to alter it. What is the process?"

"My Lady... That armor would serve you better as a chamber pot. And speaking on behalf of Harrentown, that would be my specific recommendation. But I can reforge it into something a little more practical and a lot less offensive. Perhaps something with a dragon in honor of your family, my lady. With the wings accentuating the..." Now he properly blushed. "Well, you get the idea. It would still be light but durable. I wouldn't sell it if I didn't think you were likely to die in it."

It was like he'd ignored half of what she'd said... But she smiled anyway, "whatever is the least hassle for you, a dragon would be nice, to honour my brother, " she did not know if Daemon would appreciate it though, her taking his family name as hers when she'd never been a Targaryen and never been a Blackfyre.

He frowned. "I am trying to tell you in as polite a way as possible, that I won't touch that thing, except to light it on fire and invite the town to watch. If you give me three days, I will give you something far superior. I don't normally work with leather, as it's disrespectful to Willem's business, but I can make you a sturdy but flexible leather and steel outfit. I can forge you a light breastplate of the best forged steel in the Riverlands, in the shape of a dragon, as well as bracers and greaves sewn on to keep your limbs safe without compromising your mobility. That's what I can do, my lady."

"I have spent five years in an army aiding my brother," she explained, with a placating smile, "family is an important thing to me, it has made some nuances of speech a little difficult to follow, you don't need to worry about being polite. If you could make me new armour, then throw this In the fire now if you like, or if you could introduce me to Willem, was it. I think what you've suggested would be more than agreeable, though I have never worn armour other than leather,, I trust you know what is best."

"The armor will still be mostly leather, and worn as such. I wouldn't worry about a learning curve as far as putting it on." He carefully picked up the Lothson armor and set it on the table, as though it might be infected with the grey plague. "I'll remove the bits of metal I can use, and that will lower the price for you but..." He scribbled a few numbers on the board before stopping and smiling at her.
"Actually, consider it a gift from all of us. With the coin we're receiving from your family, I can afford to spare the time and steel. And I want you to know we do appreciate what you've done so far since arriving."

Saesha smiled at the smith, "it warms me to hear such, but I really cannot accept. You deserved the money for how you've been treated, the real shame is that this happened at all, "all for a legacy. "You and yours are kind and generous, which brings me to my other reason for coming" she paused looking round the forge before looking back at Jaime, meeting his eyes with her striking mismatched ones.
"Lord Belric and I want there to be a free and open communication between the town and the castle, were intricately entwined," she paused again after that for a moment, "don't you agree?"

"Yes..." He seemed unsure of how to respond. "You're right of course, my lady. It is our men that fight on your behalf, and often our gold that fills your coffers. What did you have in mind?"
It was true that people looked to him for leadership, but his had always been a 'first among equals' sort of position.
