Saesha and Maester Percival go and visit Lord Belric.
When she enters his Solar, just walking in, knowing her husband would not mind. They had come just after the Maester came to her, as her Solar was very close to his.
"A raven came from Lord Tully" She informed him, passing him the note with the summons on it.

Belric read the note, his eyes widening with the realization of its contents. He removed his gaze from the page, looking up at Saesha. "Why was this not brought to me immediately?" He found Percival, "Why is my wife handing me a letter from Lord Tully, addressed in my name?"

"I do not understand." Percival replied raising his eyebrow quizzical you. Lord Piggy was squealing again. Percival was certain he would drop dead from surprise. "Do you wish to keep such things secret from your Lady wife?"

Belric had anticipated Percivals snide attitude, the mans arrogance was nearly tangible. He put the letter down, setting it off to the side of the desk, his eyes never leaving Percival. He had delt with rats and worms before, but perhaps this one didn't know how close he was to extermination.
"I am going to say this slowly, so you can understand. It is obvious that I have been sent the runt of the Maester litter, but perhaps your stupidity can be cured." Belric leaned forward in his chair. "You have one chance to learn what I'm about to tell you. I have no time for incompetence. If you ever recieve a raven addressed to me, your Lord, and do not inform me immediately, I will lock you in the dark for the rest of your days. If I hear word, or even suspect that you are using your responsibilites as a maester to undermine my authority, I will have you strung up by your neck and hung over the walls of my castle." He stood, approaching Percival with anger written across his face. "And Maester, If you ever think yourself smart enough to comment on my relationship with my wife, I will kill you myself."

"My love," Saesha said approaching her husband and putting a soothing hand on his shoulder, "I am sure the Maester only meant that we are clearly so close and of similar mind that he could not imagine us keeping information from one another." She rubbed a thumb over his shoulder comfortingly.
"We have more important things to worry about than who has seen the summons. I am sure Lord Tully means nothing more than to hear your fealty so we can all progress peaceably from now on, though we can talk about how we wish to proceed more later, as Daemon said, it gains him nothing from being antagonistic to his high lords. Come let us sit and discuss it." he suggested, "Do you want me to come with you?"

Percival ignored whatever nonsense the man was saying. He grew the most disgusting shade of purple when he yelled. Percival didn't particularly care about this Fish. His mind turned to other things while Redfort yelled. Percival smiled slight as he thought for a moment Beric was going to have a fit. Then he simply nodded and listened to Lady Saesha.

Belric had not been yelling, in fact he was cold as ice. Comfortable in any confrontational enviornment, Ravensbane stared down Percival. He smiled wickedly, the Maester's silence only instigating Belric's temper.
"Nothing clever to say?" Belric said through his teeth. With a stiff open hand, Belric swatted Percival across the face.
"Did they not teach you how to talk to your Lord at the Citadel?" Belric struck him again, this time with the back of his hand.

Percival, who had opened his mouth for likely another snide remark, was not prepared in the slightest for being struck. He bit down as the forehand took him in the face, nearly biting his tongue clean off in the process. As hot blood filled his mouth in a torrent, the backhand hit, Belric's new heavy signet ring marking him as the lord of Harrenhal stamping the Blackfort seal on the side of Percival's face. The force of the blow knocked out a few of the maesters teeth, split his lip, and broke the cheekbone. Clearly the maester had a sharp tongue and a glass jaw.
(Percival takes a Heavy wound for -35. Belric gets +2 to Unarmed. Fun Fact: Percival rolled a 4 and Belric was 2 points from killing him.)

Percival had spun around and slammed into the wall after the blow. He had been shocked by the hit but it only took his mind a moment to realize that of course Belric would answer anything with violence. He spat blood out onto the floor. Then he summoned his will and turned back to face the Lord. He took great efforts to speak slowly and clearly worried his injuries would distort his words. "Would you like another go." He motioned to his damaged face. "If you are done I can find a pregnant woman for you to beat. Or a child if you prefer. What ever you need to feel like a real man."
Percival turned his head to spit blood out into his hand clearing his mouth so he could finish. "You can strike me all you want. You can whip or even kill me. But I will never even contemplate violence against. Because I am better than you." Percival let the blood trail from his mouth as he waited for Belric to murder him.

Belric had been surprised by how easily Percival buckled under the blows. He had slapped women harder, and most of them enjoyed it. He listened to the Maester's request, seriously considering granting the little worm's wish. If his open hand could do such damage, a closed fist would easily send him to meet the gods. However, he knew better than to kill his Maester. Though that did leave a whole spectrum of torture available to Belric.
He leaned down to Percivals level, obviously ignoring Saesha's request to leave the Maester alone. "You are my dog, Percival. And you will be treated as such." He walked over and opened the door, inviting his guard into the solar. "What happens to a disobedient dog, Maester?"
Turning to one of his knights, Belric gave his orders. "Lock him in a cell. See that he has means to tend his wounds, as well as food and water. No pen, no paper, and no visitors."
He did not smile, nor did he gloat. Belric just looked at Percival with disappointment. A great education, wasted on a worthless man.

The guards do as instructed, dragging the bleeding maester from the room and tossing him into the great dungeon beneath Widow's Tower, ironic considering the top of that very tower was his home.

Saesha was looking incredibly unimpressed. Her arms folded.

Belric turned around once the guards had hauled Percival off to the dungeons. He regarded her expression, having expected he crossed the line. However, he did not regret his actions. The maester would learn respect, or die. There was no substitute for Belric Ravensbane.
"We must make preparations to leave for Riverrun. I had expected more time before I was summoned, but our other plans will have to wait."

"Was that really necessary?" She asked, not willing to move on from this so swiftly, "you're a Lord now Belric, you cannot go around acting like a common soldier now hitting anything that disagrees with you, you need more control of yourself. You likened punishing the Maester to disciplining a dog, but a dog that only knows brutality will give brutality in return. Dogs you beat will bite you."

"A dog that does nothing but bite is a wolf, and I won't be inviting wolves into my home." Belric said, walking over to his desk. "He disregarded me as his Lord when he saw fit to bring you that letter. You are my wife and Lady of Harrenhal. However, I am Lord and that raven was marked Belric Blackfort. When I confronted him about it, he used his snide tongue to twist it around, questioning our marriage." It was obvious that Belric was concerned in regard to this specific point. "Did I break his neck like I should have? No, I warned him of his actions, and commanded him to fulfill his duties as Maester to this castle."
Belric wiped some of Percival's blood off of his hands, with a rag used to clean a sword. "And how did he retaliate? He ignored my orders, and stood there smirking in silence. So I slapped him around a little. It's not my fault he's as frail as he is arrogant. I struck him open handed, softer than I hit my brothers when we were boys." Belric's attitude turned from hot to cold, his brow dipping in an expression of remorse. "Again he challenged me, exalting himself over his liege! He acts as if violence is only born from fighting, yet men die by words the same as swords. His disrespect could cause contention between our people, and he needs to be dealt with."
