"You make a fair point, Mason. Worker security will be taken into account. I have men dealing with the bandit problem currently, hopefully we will know more in a few days time."

"Excellent. Points one and two are finished. Now who is to take ownership of them? I would offer the take the weight, but with my lord and I going to Riverrun, it is not really appropriate. Therefore, if he thinks it fitting, I would think our Mason to be the next option, along with the quarry, can you take the responsibility, master?"

"I would be able to, yes" said Qhorin "I'm currently doing inspections on the towers and estimating costs for repairs to each, but that can be put on hold for these actual projects. The towers are not going anywhere."

"Excellent, it will only be until I return, which will hopefully not be long." She offered Richard a beautiful smile, "so onto point three. The bandits. Gentlemen, we need to address the lawlessness in the lands." She was looking primarily at Edmure, who she believed was responsible for this, but she could not be sure.

Qhorin slides the women's specifications for the dock back to her, having just copied the important parts onto his own paper. He also included the information on his initial survey of the tower, figuring she could add it as a point later on, or just table it until another time so she could overlook them herself. It seemed like she was the main one for construction of the ruling duo.

Saesha gave the list a quick look, she would see if she could improve on his results. A keen second eye as it were.
Then she waited for someone, ideally edmure to answer her.

Edmure shrugged. "A party has been sent out to deal with the bandits that we know of. There may be other bands of outlaws that we're currently unaware of that will also need to dealt with as we discover them. These lands have been lawless for quite a while."

"After they are dealt with it would be wise to keep scouts looking for other dangers." Saesha advised.

"I'm sure we're all in agreement that the bandit problem must be resolved to the fullest extent." Jon waved a hand dismissively. "Can we move on?"

Edmure nodded in agreement with the steward. "We will do what we can, as soon as we can." he remarked. "I will speak further with Belric on the matter, when the party he sent out returns."

Belric snorted, finding the bickering within the council to be a great form of entertainment. "If the next topic of concern is the bear pit, I believe most of you can assume where I stand."

"If you think the safety of the lands is such an easily dismissed matter. These things happen best with a decisive plan." She was clearly not letting this go easily, "making grand statements about such a thing is less effective than having a comprehensive schedule."

Jon shrugged. "I am in agreement my lady. But as it stands, I have no experience in tracking and killing bandits. I say we leave this matter to those that know how. To that end Ser Edmure has my full confidence in the matter." He turned to his Lord, clearly interested in pushing the discussion forward. "Astapor, Yunkai and Meereen boast huge arenas to a similar purpose. A gory spectacle, but popular with the people and undoubtedly profitable. Reopening the bear pit could yield similar benefits for Harrenhal."

"Bear pits wouldn't be hard to refurbish" says the Mason reliably "just needs to be cleaned up and new furnishing. Structures sound."
On the matter of the bandits though, Qhorin did have one small idea "would it be possible to train some of my workers and a few others in basic weapons? Doesn't seem like there's a lot of guards, and it'd be good to be able to defend ourselves in the outlying projects like the quarry or others of the ilk."

"The only bonus I can see is that it is relatively inexpensive for us to opporate. My only concern is it involved letting people inside the castle walls." Saesha commented, not at all happy with that being left to Edmure, but she supposed of everyone here other than Belric he was the least unqualified.
"Would your worked be happy with the extra responsibilty?"
