I think you can just pick whatever Marie, they've no idea what's going on Perhaps I will, if I end up being the only one who cares about such matters.

My argument is that the raven is dead (black) and we the sword (white) live on. We are the freakin heroes in this timeline, and the bloodraven is a dead bird who only lives on in our Sigil. Mmm but since we supported the blackfyres in their rebellion, black sword would fit our support. Also stands for the black being victorious over the white, dead "dragon"

Bloodraven was also an albino which is why I suggested the Raven being white. I'd actually pictured something more like the flag of the Holy Roman Empire but with a sword cutting down the middle, but this actually turned out really cool. Love the motto!
Also I don't think your house had enough pull for a noble mother. She would have come from another incredibly insignificant knightly house at best or your father would have married a wealthy merchants daughter or commoner craft man's daughter in exchange for a decent dowry.
Sour will not have the last name Blackfyre as that's reserved for Daemon, his kids, and his wife. She can take Seastar like her sister or perhaps Waters, though she'll of course take the last name of the family now.
Last, since at the moment the poll is pretty torn, I'm considering the option of a mixed ancestry, being a father First Men and a Motner Andal like the Starks. That's just mean all the polotical benefits and drawbacks essentially are cut in half but each individual would get to choose their faith since harrenhal has both a sept and godswood. If you guys are interested in that, let me know.

Some of the suggestions I made were knightly houses but a merchant's daughter would be logical too.

I dislike the idea of parading a dead raven on our arms. Seems rather undignifed and lowbrow. House Slynt doesn't have an imapled wolf on their sigil and the foundation of their house is fairly similar to ours (and Slynt's a right twat). Although we may differ since we were already knightly prior to the Battle of Redgrass. I would assume we would have had a prior coat of arms and then co-opted the Redgrass field in some way. I personally like the idea of having a party per fess or party per bend of Redgrass to denote this. Could be useful: awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Heraldry
