Willem, who had been near the other prisoner, the man he'd found moments earlier with Willis, was slow to react to the attempted attack on Belric. Seeing Dacey decapitate the assailant, he grabbed his own captive to ensure he did not do anything similar.

Belric stood there, still in shock. He had reacted instinctually, thanking his years of combat experience. That, and his sister, whom had saved his life yet again.
He looked around at those still within the tavern, shrugging his shoulders. "Honestly... Hadn't expected that. Wasn't even sure if he was a traitor or not." Belric kicked Kyle's dead corpse, making sure the steel toe of his boot found it's way through his teeth. "Guess we know now."
He put a hand on Dacey's shoulder, "Thank you for that. The next time I scold you, remind me of this moment. Now what were you about to tell me?"
"Now," Belric said, eyeing the 'bad' tarvern keep. "If you dont want to end up like your friend here, you'll tell me everything you know about Skinner Jon. And don't take me for a fool, you mentioned Lord Shoreham's name, so you know more than you are letting on."

(Success. No points awarded.)
It takes a moment for Robb to take his eye off the fresh corpse. He answers in a very quiet voice, "He has scars all over his face, like he flayed himself while shaving. He travels the road with a red scarf covering himself. His men carry special carvings so they know each other. Skinner Jon was always saying that eels always hunt together. That they hide together in pits and come up together to claim their prey. He said that's why people can never catch eels, even though they're always biting swimmers. He said that's why they're called the Red Eels. Because they'll soon be everywhere in the Riverlands, ready to tear the highborn to pieces before they can really catch them."
Robb twitched a little, and grabbed his own wrist. "That's just the stuff I understood. The rest of it was just barmey..."

(Three Observation points awarded.) Willis finds the upstairs a different world than downstairs. Here are the remnants and memories of a true knightly house. Old paintings are hung of the late Ser Walder Honeyspoon alongside what must have been the last Lord Lothston. There are various gold and silver tokens scattered about. Either the Red Eels had failed to properly search the premises, or there had been more than financial motivations for the tax raid. It isn't long before he hears movement in one of the nearby rooms. Past the door, which has already been shattered by another intruder, Willis finds a young woman in a torn dress. Her hair is an especially flaming red in contrast to her pale cheeks. She is breathing heavily and clearly terrified, yet it is Willis who should be concerned. The lass holds a loaded heavy crossbow traditionally used for bringing down fully plated knights on horseback. Willis can see the storage case upon a grand desk and the open closet where she must have found the device. "Stay back... I don't want any trouble... Just take what you want from out there and leave in peace... There are plenty of brothels that take silver..." (Another Observation point awarded.) To his left, Willis notices the older brunette carrying a slightly more mundane shortsword. She is crouched in an equally ruined dress and would likely have ambushed him should he approach her daughter. Even with the different hair color, the family resemblance is difficult to miss. "Ain't lookin' to take anything, and sure don't want any trouble myself," Willis replied. He took a step back and slid his axe into his belt, keeping his hands in plain view. "My name's Willis Blackfort, Knight of the Wailing Tower, in the service of my cousin Lord Belric. Was told there was some ladies what might be in distress - I presume that would be you all - and so came to find you. You all right? Those sons of bitches do you any harm?" (Charm 20)

The girl's eyes tear up even more at the last question, and slowly lowers the crossbow. The mother slowly moves away from the wall and towards her daughter, shortsword firmly clutched in her hands and pointed at Willis. The knight can well imagine how difficult trust must be for this family after what they have been through.
"We'll be safe. Did you... Did you find my 'usband? Red of 'air, thin... We last saw 'im down in the cellar..."
Her tone was more curious than concerned.

"I did. Found him fighting some bandit down the basement. Living and brought to Lord Belric, last I saw him." Willis noted her tone, and continued, "Whether or not he was a party to any banditry, that remains a question. Someone close to the matter might turn it one way or the other."

Belric listened intently. "Aside from the wooden carvings, is there a way they introduce themselves to eachother? Some sort of password to identify a true eel from a fake?"

Dacey produced the weirwood carvings out of her pocket as Robb spoke, and showed them to Belric. "If that's their in, I might know someone we could send to them with one of these. Find out their location," she said.

"Ah," was all she offered in her spouse's defense before setting the weapon down. "There was another man. A newcomer. 'e saved me when 'e didn't need to. Risked 'is own life by taking on an armed man. My daughter and I owe 'im a debt." She gave a description of the innkeeper and spy Kyle, though she names him as Flex.

Robb gave a confused shrug. "I couldn't say, my lord. I don't know if the carvings were all there was, but it seemed good enough to get in to see Hal."

"He's down there, too," Willis answered, ignorant of the man's fate, "Didn't seem overly fond of your husband. May have suggested that we should let him get stabbed by a bandit. I declined."

His ears perked up in hope like a beaten mutt being offered fresh meat. "Shoreham land, my lord. Somewhere called the Pit, near the Marlfort." The name meant nothing to anyone present. Indeed, Belric was confident he already knew of every castle or fortress under his purview, and there was nothing called the Marlfort. Certainly not an actual fort manned with actual men.

"I would not have been too sore with you if you 'ad, Ser." She looked around at the room, before stating. "I expect we're 'omeless again."
The daughter asked, a little more strength in her attitude, "What happens to us, Ser?"

As it became increasingly evident that this man did not have assassination hopes at heart but was rather pathetically bargaining for his life, Willem released his grip on him and stepped back.

"Do not take me for a fool, there is no such place as the Marlfort." Belric was not one to take deception lightly. However, he was also not entirely stupid, and suspected the man may be using an unknown name for a well known place.
(Observation: 14) Attempt to tell wether his story is true or not.
(Also, did Belric get any command points for this ordeal)

"It's not my place to say, but I don't see why we'd throw you out." Willis responded to the daughter. "Even if your father is found guilty, you shouldn't answer for his crimes. Could be that we can work something out; you all keep running the inn, pay a little tax to Harrenhal, maybe we garrison some soldiers here just to make sure no more bandits move in. I can put a good word in with Lord Belric."
