In Dorne, they could have done the exact same thing with Doran, it would sound even more unexpected and awesome coming from him.
I mean, I see what they are trying to do with the women empowerment thing, nothing against it. But damn... Alex Siddig was so great as Doran, he deserved more. And Dorne deserved better than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Snakes.

If they truly cared about female empowerment in Dorne they would have included Arianne. And they would have understood that Margaery could be the heir to Highgarden if Loras were dead or ineligible (since they wrote out Garlan and Willas). But no, they apparently decided way back in series 3 or 4 that House Tyrell would die out if Loras fathered no kids. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I really think the writers wasted a lot of great material by simply having Arya kill Walder Frey like that. We could have focused on Arya's return to the Seven Kingdoms, her infiltration of Riverrun/the Twins, possible reunions with Brienne and Sanford, more Walder after he was seriously underutilized, Aryan learning to cook, etc. Just so many ideas thrown down the drain.

Apparently it was more interesting seeing her being beaten up by the waif.

Anyone else get the impression that the High Sparrow guessed what was coming and chose to martyr himself?

No. I think you can see from his face. Why would he martyr himself and let cersei win. Hubris was his downfall. It's been a running theme

I saw it less as arrogance, than simply underestimating the lengths to which Cersei was willing to go to in order to win, a virtuous man not understanding the capability for that kind of evil.. And let's not forget that currently the only ones that seem to know Aerys had wildfire buried in strategic places under the city are Tyrion, Jaime, Cersei, Varys, and Dr. Frankenstein. We can hardly judge the High Septon as arrogant for feeling secure in his position considering he had both monarchs and the city on his side. Can hardly blame him for not seeing Dresden 2.0 coming.

By the time the White Walkers even get here, half the great houses will be extinct. Also, was anyone else shocked to see Maester Percival made it to the small screen? A shame we weren't privy to his internal monologue, I bet he thought Sam was quite the fat piggy. ![](http://i.imgur.com/qMdxxdV.jpg)

I'm not sure if that was an old Aerys stash or an old Tyrion stash or if Cersei just ordered some more from the Alchemists Guild.

From the foreshadowing of mentioning Aerys' stash a few times over the last few episodes and Dr. Frankenstein's cryptic mention to Cersei of confirming rumors, I assumed it was one of the Aerys' caches.
