MUCH better than last season. Though Varys sets a new bar in teleportation. My only complaint is that the writers have clearly just given up on the Dornish characters.

Jon has no claim to Winterfell or the North Cersei has no claim to the Iron Throne Olenna has no claim to Highgarden or the Reach Ellaria has no claim to Dorne
For a book series that grounded itself so much in history and feudal values, the show certainly goes above and beyond to ignore all of that at every opportunity. Littlefinger and Euron are the only rightful rulers left, and it's a miracle the former hasn't stabbed Robin in the face yet and simply proclaimed himself Lord of the Vale considering that seems to be an accepted practice now. When did Westeros become the Necromonger Empire? You keep what you kill!
A few nagging questions and comments: Where did Arya get that face? Can we discuss the logistics of Arya murdering three people and making a pie without anyone noticing? Why was Frey alone with zero guards in the great hall? Why was luring Lancel to the Wildfyre part of the plan? What if he'd just falcon punched that kid in the face and put out the candles? Bran really couldn't have stepped a little closer to hear what Lyanna whispered to Ned? Worst Ghost of Christmas Past ever! Why not make Jaime Hand instead of Dr. Frankenstein? Are we really supposed to believe those kids knifed an old man to death in exchange for candy? What were the rest of the KG doing while Frankengregor held the king hostage against his will? Was Daario really the best candidate to leave in charge of Meereen and all of "Dragon's Bay"? Speaking of Daario, can whatever magic fairy that recast him do the same for Euron? Is everyone just going to ignore that Cersei murdered her uncle and cousin? Is kinslaying no longer a thing? Why the fuck did they make Manderly a Bolton Loyalist? The North Remember really never paid off. They remembered jack shit.

I'd like to add a nagging question to Zack's list... Does Varys have a twin? Are we getting Prestige'd right now?

Also, did anyone else find it jarring that Cersei was wearing the same outfit and the Great Sept was still on fire when Jaime got back from the Riverlands? The way people teleport in this show is getting ridiculous. It took Sam the entire fucking season to get from the Wall to Oldtown, but Varys went from Meereen to Dorne and back in twenty minutes?

Jon has no claim to Winterfell or the North He has a very legitimate claim. People WANT him to rule.Cersei has no claim to the Iron Throne Legally speaking, she is the last Baratheon in existence.Olenna has no claim to Highgarden or the Reach Possible ditto. They really trimmed the family for the show.Ellaria has no claim to Dorne Seriously! Where are the actual Dornish nobles?! How is this even happening?![/I] For a book series that grounded itself so much in history and feudal values, the show certainly goes above and beyond to ignore all of that at every opportunity. Littlefinger and Euron are the only rightful rulers left, and it's a miracle the former hasn't stabbed Robin in the face yet and simply proclaimed himself Lord of the Vale considering that seems to be an accepted practice now. When did Westeros become the Necromonger Empire. You keep what you kill! A few nagging questions and comments: Where did Arya get that face? Lazy writing. Unless it's suggesting Arya is a serial killer now.Can we discuss the logistics of Arya murdering three people and making a pie without anyone noticing? More lazy writing. I don't think Arya can even cook. Why was Frey alone with zero guards in the great hall? More lazy writing. Why was luring Lancel to the Wildfyre part of the plan? What if he'd just falcon punched that kid in the face and put out the candles? Pretty sure he went down there on his own on a dramatic hunch.Bran really couldn't have stepped a little closer to hear what Lyanna whispered to Ned? Worst Ghost of Christmas Past ever! I suspect he did hear it IC.Why not make Jaime Hand instead of Dr. Frankenstein? Yeah, this makes no sense when the King's Hand leads the army. Unless Qyburn's strategem is making an army of undead warriors... Which might be the case. Are we really supposed to believe those kids knifed an old man to death in exchange for candy? Actually, Qyburn was also giving their families medical attention, which would be a massive deal. What were the rest of the KG doing while Frankengregor held the king hostage against his will? More lazy writing. Was Daario really the best candidate to leave in charge of Meereen and all of "Dragon's Bay"? More lazy writing! Speaking of Daario, can whatever magic fairy that recast him do the same for Euron? Yes. But the trouble with the character is still (Wait for it) lazy writing. Is everyone just going to ignore that Cersei murdered her uncle and cousin? Is kinslaying no longer a thing? Lazy motherfucking writing! Why the fuck did they make Manderly a Bolton Loyalist? The North Remember really never paid off. Because that would require some sort of attention to detail.[/quote]

Last but not least, can someone please tell me what the appropriate mourning period is for Natalie Dormer and her plunging neckline? A national tragedy has occurred.

Wtf was this shit? Queen in the North!
I've come to the conclusion that this entire shitfest of a show would be 100% better with more explosions every episode. Just cut all the dialogue. Is it too late to hire Michael Bay?

Is it too late to hire Michael Bay? Do you really think that the inclusion of slow motion American flag waving will improve anything? Michael Bey would recast Euron with Mark Wahlberg. And make up a new role for Megan Fox. I am perfectly fine that you dislike the show. But let's be careful about throwing in Michael Bey. That is some dangerous, jingoistic shit.

I suggest The Scandalous Lady W. for your next Dormer fix. I enjoyed that. As for the rest, I am still in shock from the mass killings and the big highs and lows of the episode, plus the massacred book content. I was definitely not bored for one moment though!

I assumed that Cersei had just chosen that dress to be her Badass Queen outfit and happened to be wearing it again for her coronation. It's more martial than anything else we've seen her in so no doubt she thought it would inspire fear. But yeah, Varys' teleportation skills are ridiculous.

Ok one more comment because I do not feel ready to address too many issues quite yet. Jon is King in the North but nobody named him Lord of Winterfell as far as I recall. I assume Sansa will keep her title and seat (she'd better!) and Jon will be the king. Perhaps he'll claim the Dreadfort as his seat Though a royal seat is the last of his worries right now. And I really really want to scream at how they have eliminated House Tyrell as well as House Martell and not even bothered to explore the proper ramifications so AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
