"Yer mother forgot ta pay me a visit yesterday, Wills." Hoster opened a slight grin, few things improved his mood like insulting people's mothers. Lightening up was also a defense mechanism, he didn't want people to go prowling around his feelings. "First time in 30 years she did tha'... Well, or didn' do tha', wha'ever." "That's quite the commute, comin' from the Reach nightly just to find some old drunk." He smiled, waving the old drunk over. "Come on. Let's head to Harrentown, Yoren'll buy me a drink, I'll buy you a drink, you'll accidentally murder some townsfolk. It'll be a grand time."

"Think ah'll stay here fer today, Wills." Hoster said, getting up from his sitting spot and stretching his back. "Those fecks don' seem ta like me much." He pushed aside the hair covering his bruised forehead. "Tha' and som'one needs ta work in 'tis family. Me boys need to git knowin' da place."

Willis nearly broke out laughing at the idea of Hoster being the one member of the family doing the working. "You need a hand with anything? Not like I got much else to do, unless we find ourselves at war all of a sudden."

"Ah'll call ye when ah get ta hang da sunovabitch who did this ta me..." Hoster pointed at the bruise. "In da meanwhile go 'ave som' fun with Big Head o'er there." He had never felt so old and boring as he felt saying those words.

"If you insist." He turned back to Yoren. "C'mon, let's get ourselves some lunch beer. We've earned it."

Yoren looked between hoster and willis in an awkward silence, seeing the two jabbing at one another as he thought it over. He decided to try and butt in to try and stop it, "Okay. If you're feeling thristy, we can go to harrentown now. Otherwise I wouldn't mind getting to work to clean this place up. There's a lot of wood that'll need to get thrown out, given the state of the great hall..."
Their destination choosen, Yoren decided to head out with Willis, unaware the tension had already mostly diffused.

"We'll go, we'll have a drink and a bite to eat, we'll return refreshed and start working on one of the towers." Willis replied, heading for the town. And if they got drunk and stayed out well into the night, well, there's always tomorrow.

Tallahar took the offered assistance and then placed a hand on Belric's shoulder as he sucked in a great heaving breath of air, "No no you first brother. To the victor goes the reward." "Walk with me," Belric said, pulling his training sword from the dirt and handing it to a young boy, eager to serve the new lord. "I have relieved Simon Whent of his rank, he will no longer be the Knight of the Wailing Tower. Instead, he will serve Lady Saesha as her sworn knight." Belric had to spit after saying the man's name, the truth of Simons deeds still left a bad taste in his mouth. "With the death of Ser Bruce, I am left with two empty Towers." Belric stopped walking, having gone far enough to have an acceptable view of Harrenhal's sky line. "You are a good knight, and a good man. I trust you brother, and I would have your loyalties rewarded. I know you will reject my offer before I even propose it to you, but that is why it must be you. Take up the title, be the Knight of the Wailing Tower and protect this castle. Our family will be safer under your protection, and the people will be spared another Simon Whent."

Tallahar's mouth hung open when Belric offered him the title and continued to for a good minute silence, "But but I'm the bastard brother. Should not Edmure or another who bears the name Blackfort hold the title."

"Aye, and a dirty bastard at that." Belric said in jest, his voice cracking as he tried to restrain a laugh. "That does not change my opinion however. You are as true a Blackfort as any who holds the name. Take the position, and do not worry about the men you think are better fitted for the job." He gave Tallahar a firm pat on the back.

"What about the Stables? I had hoped to ask for the position of Master of Horse." Tallahar looked thoughtful for a second, "Can a man hold both titles. Is my title Knight of Wailing Tower but my position that of Master of Horse? All this lordly business is too confusing for me brother."

"I would not think anything could keep you from the stables, Tallahar. Were I deaf and blind, my nose would tell me you're a horse. But I don't think that will hinder you from your job. You will do your duty, and you will rise to the occasion. It will help for the soldiers to see you as a man of the people, a knight who's not above the requirements of hard labor." Belric folded his arms, starting to believe rejection was on the way. "You can absorb the responsibilities of the horse master if you'd like, or find someone to fill the position for you... It matters little to me."

Tallahar again is silent but this time a small smile is upon his lips, "A Knight who's not above hard labour ah?" This idea seems to swirl itself around the bastards brain, "Very well then brother I accept this great and noble honour. Is there a ceremony or something. I've never really had a ceremony held in my honour."

"Good." Belric said, patting Tallahar's back again. "No ceremonies for us brother, there is much that remains to be done. Instead, get acquainted with your men. Don't expect a warm welcome though, I'd wager there'll be animosity from the men that served under Ser Simon. However, you must lead them all the same."

"They will serve me for your greater good brother or I will dismiss them from my service. I am sorry if you do not agree but I will no dissension in the ranks." Tallahar nodded to Belric,"Is there anything else you wish to add?"
