"It's fine," said Dacey, wrapping it around her middle. She'd made do with far worse in the past. "I do not know your name," she confessed.

"It's fine," said Dacey, wrapping it around her middle. She'd made do with far worse in the past. "I do not know your name," she confessed. "I am Ser Willem Rivers." Willem replied simply in way of introduction, not looking as disappointed as he might have been expected to be. Harrenhal was a large holding and there were many knights in the service of the Blackforts.

Since she wasn't a believer of "well met" and they'd technically met before, Dacey only nodded. "You did good, Willem" she said. She didn't say much after that and focused instead on staying in saddle.

"Thank you." Willem replied, before mounting his horse with a slight grimace. He rode behind Dacey at the rear of the group, ready to attempt to catch her lest she fall from her horse and injure herself further.

3rd Month, 6th Day
Most people despised traveling in the cold winter; the chilly winds and potential for snow making for an inconvenient trek for anyone. It bothered Ethan not at all; fewer people about meant fewer people he had to keep track of. As with any man who stayed one step ahead of the forces of law and order at all times, Flatrivers possessed more than a trace amount of paranoia. Every wagon he saw was inspected carefully from under his thick hood, every child a potential informant. This was him in lands he was legally in on business. When he crossed over to do his proper work it would get worse.
The chief problem with looking proper for the Lady was the bare skin of his face, absent any trace of beard. It caused him to tie his cloak a little tighter and keep his eyes down just a bit more than usual, but always his restless gaze flickered back and forth. He'd heard this stretch of land remained untamed by law from the war, bandits and the like ever-present. He made a poor target; he cared little for possessions past what he could carry unless it was a tool for a mission.
As he journeyed, he had to temper his desire to press on towards the hotspot; he'd need all the energy he could muster if the situation went south. He settled in for the night and made a lean to to keep out of the wind, then a small fire to settle in for the night.

18th Day, 3rd Month
After talking to Belric, Dacey headed to Ser Jon Nightgrove's humble abode along with six guards, including the handsome Roland. They brought the poor knight some more grain for hosting Lord Goodbrook, as well as any game they'd manage to catch on the way.

(Success. Two points awarded.) Dacey arrives in the Nightgrove with two fresh deer carcasses and five succulent rabbits. The ancient tower above the forest is difficult to miss, and before long, they are greeted by Ser Jon himself riding up the road. "My lady!" His wrinkled brow is torn between obvious relief and the need to maintain dignity.

"Ser Jon, I presume," she greeted, riding a bit closer to get a better look at the man. "Dacey Blackfort. We bring you a little something for entertaining our guests," she said, indicating at the game they'd caught, as well as the sacks of grain. "Is everyone well?"

"Aye, milady, I was present when your family arrived in Harrenhal. I remember your face especially well. Few women carry such dignity bearing arms." If it was a compliment, he didn't elaborate before moving to the topic at hand. "Lady Goodbrook's health has greatly improved. I believe they intend to leave tonight, if the weather allows it. Lord Goodbrook himself is... Peculiar in temperament. He sways between telling gruesome tales of his exploits and tenderly nursing his wife. I would call him a braggart, but I have seen the hell that man wreaked in the war." He frowned and hesitated before continuing.
"One of his men killed a doe on my land without my permission. He was stripped of all his possessions and forced to walk back to Castle Goodbrook naked in the dead of winter."

Dacey nodded, listening thoughtfully as if trying to decide what to make of Lord Goodbrook. She didn't like bragging, but didn't doubt some of his stories were worth listening to.
"Good timing, then," she said, trying to figure out whether this knight had been one of Ser Bruce's, or the other one's. "I'm here to escort him to Harrenhal."
"If that man has half a brain, he will find clothes somewhere on the way," she commented on the second part, not finding the punishment too harsh, though it was pretty stupid. That man was likely to turn to banditry, if the cold didn't take him first. "Did you disagree with the punishment?" she inquired.

"Aye." Ser Jon nodded slowly. "Goodbrook could have ordered the man to pay me, or had him perform some service. He could have even stripped him of his titles. But to send him out like that... This is not the North, but I have seen the cold kill and maim enough men these past few years. And I know Goodbrook cared not a fig for that animal. It was the disrespect of the matter that pushed him towards such open cruelty."

Roland shivered at the thought, pulling his cloak tighter.

"It would not have been my choice either," she agreed, looking at the tower. "Yet what's done is done. Perhaps these will be of some consolation to you," she said, motioning at the grain and the game they'd brought to the knight.

"Thank you, Lady Dacey. I appreciate your family's consideration. As will my own family and vassals." He turned his horse to lead her towards the tower.
The area's name became clearer as they approached the tower. Perhaps half as tall as Harrenhal's own peaks, it did indeed seem to cover its surrounding woods in darkness. It was impossible for Dacey to guess it's maker, and there was no sign of it ever belonging to a larger structure.
"It's the silence most people find eerie," stated Ser Jon. "Not the tower itself."
Indeed, there had been no sign of the usually constant birdsong since they had entered the Nightgrove itself.

Dacey acknowledged his words with a nod and rode beside him, surveying the surroundings. This knight had vassals?
"It looks peaceful," she mused. "And untouched by the war. How long has your family been here?" she inquired.
