Violet fought to keep a rein on her fear as she fetched a pitcher of water and brought it over to the dying man.
"Here, have a drink," she said, pouring a cup of water. "It might help."
After a brief pause, she asked "Why did he kill everyone?"

"Where is he, where's Ser Bruce now?" Belric knew the water Violet brough would not help the dying man. He almost told her to stop all together, but thought it best to let her feel like she was helping the poor soul.

"Violet..." Yoren said with a sigh, looking to the girl with a pitying look as she poured water for the man, sympathizing with her motivations, but knowing they were most likely futile. This man was impaled, practically gutted, and amidst the rotting dead. His wounds would kill him, one way or another.
Still, he walked to stay close to violet, cautiously reaching out to put a hand on her shoulder, "That's...kind of you. We should look for other survivors, further ahead." He said, not wanting to tell her of her actions futility.

As she poured the cup of water, a severed index finger also fell out of the pitcher, the clear water swirling with blood.
"The meat..." he repeated, with a groan of pain, before glancing to Belric. "Bastards...in his tower...run him through...traitor..."

Willis had kneeled next to the knight. "What about the damned meat?"

Violet let out a squeak as the finger fell into the pitcher. She put it aside and turned to Yoren.
"They all look dead to me, but I suppose we should try."
She started to walk around looking for any other survivors, or, failing that, anything else of note that they had not yet become aware of.

"The meat...it's..." the knight breathed his last, head slumping forward, the stench of feces as he soiled himself adding to the sickening aroma of the great hall.
(Violet Observation Roll: Failed)
Perhaps overwhelmed by all the carnage, Violet notices nothing else out of the ordinary, besides the obvious.

After failing to notice anything interesting, Violet grabbed a nearby bowl and vomited into it. The whole scene repulsed her. She wanted to get out of the hall as soon as possible. But all she could do right now was hope Belric and the others knew what to do.

Belric stood up, looking too his accompaniment, "We are going up the tower and we are going to find Ser Bruce. Be ready for what may be waiting for us." Belric had a good idea of what the knight meant by ''meat', but held his tongue for Violet's sake.
His sword still in his hand, Belric headed for the steps and began to climb Kingspire.

The familiar smell of death had hit Edmure immediately went they entered the hall. As he walked around, Edmure had managed to find a napkin from one of the tables to cover his nose and mouth. He moved across to his youngest sister.
"Here. Use this. Keep your nose and mouth covered and it will be nowhere near as bad."

Violet gave Edmure a shaky smile. "Thank you. I had no idea it would be like this."
Violet followed Belric, hand reassuringly on her dagger's hilt. She kept the napkin covering her nose and mouth.

He makes it to the massive oak door at the back of the Great Hall leading to Kingspyre. It is, of course, locked from the other side.

Belric put his fist to the wood with an audible thud, "Yoren, bring down this door."

As Yoren no doubt winds up to swing, an eye slot in the top of the door slides open, revealing the visor the now familiar black skull helm.
"You don't want to be doing that," the knight said, voice muffled from the other side of the door; though to Yoren, Hoster, and Jon it was unmistakable as the the voice of one of the knights they had met earlier, Ser Harrys.

Edmure moved protectively in front of his sister. He had carried his shield on his right arm but realized that if a fight broke out he would have to drop it to use his sword as his injured left arm would not bear the shield's weight.
"Stay near me." he whispered to Violet. "In case this becomes ugly."
