"Then you would do what your liege commands regardless of consequence?" She asked, looking at the knight, "then certainly you are the kind of Knight my husband and I would be honoured to have a sworn oath from when this situation has been resolved, should you consider us worthy."

(Mild Success. Saesha increases one Disposition Level with Ser Simon Whent. Disposition with House Blackfort remains the same.)
"I always have, without question," he affirmed, straightening his back even more than it already was, taking pride in that fact clearly. "It does not matter who I consider worthy. I serve Harrenhal, I serve the Wailing Tower and will serve with distinction once the stain on its honor residing in Kingspyre Tower and the rabble holed up in the Armory have been expunged."

"What is this rabble?" Saesha asked, motioning to a chair, bring courteous enough to ask.

"Mob of peasants," he said with distaste, "Come to loot the place. Think they can just take what they want with the Lady gone. Tried to talk sense into them but they're a mad lot. Assaulted the tower and we had to beat them back. Chased them as far as the Armory, but dared not extend our lines further into the territory of my traitorous nephew."
He gallantly pulled out the chair for her, as he had likely done for Lady Danelle.

"You know the people of harrentown are starving?" She asked, not sure he'd be aware. She thanked him for pulling her chair out

"They may have come for grain, but they stayed for blood," he explained, with a sigh. "I opened the doors to send a week's worth of food out and they tried to storm the tower. Lost two good men pushing them back, men I couldn't afford."

Percival stood quietly behind Saesha. The more he witnessed her the more sure he was that she should be the true leader of this family. Perhaps that she be arranged. Percival would have to wait until after they whelped a brat. Then a little of that red root in the Lord's wine. He would start vomiting. Lord Piggy would rush down to see his Maester and then Percival could cure him forever. No one would ever know, they would just think the Maester had failed.
Percival could not but help and smile slightly at the errant thought.

Saesha knew all of this meant nothing without the other sides of the story, but she nodded as he spoke as if she understood. "I know you need all the men you can, each life lost to this, the loss of each man is a blow to Harrenhal. I would like to offer you the chance to end this with no further bloodshed. As we speak, someone is talking to Ser Bruce. Lord Blackfort and I want to settle this so Harrenhal can repair and grow. I am asking you to come with me, to speak to my husband, at the same time as Ser Bruce, so that you can set the record straight for him and we can come to a decision together. If no resolution can be decided you will be free to return here and command your men. I am not asking you to open the granary of the tower, just to let it stand without you for a brief time, until you return. Would you be agreeable to that?"

(Success. +1 Persuasion)
"I would," the old knight replied with a gruff nod. "To see justice served."

Saesha smiled as he agreed, her face lighting up, "Your reply gives me as much hope as it does admiration," she stood, "we have no time to waste," she stood and looked to Maester Percival and then waited for Simon to exit, inform his men so they could leave.

"Cling to that hope, for it does not last log here," Ser Simon said sadly, lead the way outside the solar, barking orders to his men, hardly having to raise his voice for the commands to carry and the men to jump to action. "Ser Christopher, Ser Michael, and Ser Kevin with me." Three armored knights jumped up to serve as their captain's escort.

Belric entered Ser Simon's solar, accompanied by his wife and drunkard uncle. "Ser Simon, the events of today have been extraneous. We have much to discuss."

Hoster ordered his four men to wait outside. He stood impassively beside Belric, striking a pose was always an important part of the private security business.

"And this is only your first day in Harrenhal," the old knight remarked gruffly. "I only hope you have more hair when you have been here as long as I."

"Aye, a long first day of putting out fires." Belric looked Ser Simon square in the eyes. "I am demoting you, Simon Whent. You are no longer to serve this castle as the Knight of the Wailing Tower. In an effort to keep the peace, as well as spare your life, you are to be removed from all positions of command here and in Harrentown."
