Having been actively used through the years, it is in fine condition compared to most of the rest of the keep, except for the shattered chair and hole in the oak door courtesy of Belric.

Tallahar kicked what remained of the chair into a corner and took a mental note to have someone come and fix his door. But with nothing else seeming to be a problem he took a seat behind the small writing desk and waited for the others to arrive.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// (2nd Moon, 22nd Day)
The Solar for Ser Tallahar Rivers new Knight of the Wailing tower looks slightly different from when Ser Simon Whent had spent his years here. The small writing desk had been replaced with a large one that had been found. Along with the door fixed and a couple of chairs in front of the desk. Along with that was a small fireplace that had a round table placed to the side of with a high back chair positioned facing the fire.

Tallahar paced back and forth making sure everything looked nice for when Belric and Saesha were to arrive.

Belric walked the stairs of the Wailing Tower, accompanied by his wife. When he reached Tallahar's solar, he rapped his nuckles on the door to indicate they had arrived.

Bursting open the door Tallahar is all smiles, "Welcome brother please this is all your castle no need for such formality. Come in come in." Tallahar then stepped back to let his Lord and Lady to enter. The bastard knight walks over to the small table that has wine in a decanter, "A drink before we begin?"

"Please," he responded to Tallahar's offer of a drink. Belric looked around the room, it was no longer Simon's solar, Tallahar had made it his own. "You have done will with this place, brother. I remember leaving it looking different than this."

Letting out a slight chuckle Tallahar poured two drinks, "Yes my first shock when I came up here was the large hole in the door and remains of a chair. Following up rumors I found out that it was you brother who decided to take out your anger on some of the furniture. Will I need to ask you nicely not to do it to my new chairs brother?"

"It had been a long day." Belric said, wanting to leave the conversation at that. He was not proud of his outburst, though he would be surprised if anyone blamed him for being furious with a child murderer. "Why have you called upon us Tallahar? Your letter spoke of business."

Nodding to Belric as he walked over to his seat Tallahar sat down at his desk. "Yes I did. May I first say you have done very well so far with Harrenhal brother. We have servants and guardsmen and more of our family returning." The older man pauses for a second and takes a sip of wine, "You know and I hope appreciate my love of horses. And to that is why I bought you here. We do not have enough mounts to sustain us. We lost 3 when our brother went of search of food and only found that foul bear. Due to age and other problems we will soon lose mounts we do have."
Opening his hands and smiling to his brother, "In my opinion we have few options. First we can attempt to buy some breeding mares from horse traders at either Lord Harrway's Town or the capital. Or we can ask that mounts from some of the Knights or Lord that are sworn to house Blackfort allow us to borrow mares for some seasons. Another good idea would be to ask Lord Bracken, they are know for there breeding of excellent horses."

"Thank you brother, I appreciate your approval of my actions thus far. At first it felt like falling, but now I feel like I am finding ground." Belric offered a seat for Saesha, pulling it free of the desk, before seating himself.
He listened to his bastard brother explain the need for more mounts, though the concept was foreign to him. Belric could ride a horse, and understand the difference between a good mount and a poor one, however his opinion was based on practicality and not obsession, like Tallahar's. It seemed reasonable enough to replace the mounts that had been lost, but to finance the breeding of horses was an expensive and slow process.
"I understand the need for new horses. But to breed them seems a waist of time and gold. What would it cost to feed and tend breeding mares? Our food stores are low, and the treasury isn't limitless. We are on our own brother, no help from the crown will come if things go sour."

Tallahar seemed shocked for a moment when Belric said that no help from the crown would come, "Let me put it like this then brother. Too borrow another houses mares and to help raise mounts can not only bring us coin but also trade to Harrentown. It would also build friendship with your bannerlord or the other Lord of the Riverlands. But the end result is this is far cheaper then buying mounts." Taking another drink Tallahar looks Belric in the eye, "If you would not wish to follow my advice I will do what I can for our mounts but within time we will be knights without horses."

Belric sat in contemplation, trying to understand to intricacies of a something in which he knew vey little. He liked the points Tallahar made, or perhaps how he said them. Belric was prone to following confidence, a trait familiar to knighthood.
"What kind of profits are you suggesting? And aside from the obvious question of finding mares, what would you need to do what you ask?"

Tallahar was silent for a moment as he looked through his notes, "What we need is already avaliable to our family now. A large amount of land, servants and skilled workers leaving near by to help with the raising of foals." Then the older bastard looked slightly lost, "As too profits, I am unsure. That comes down the quality of mounts we can raise. If we become know for breeding fine war mounts then it could bring in hundreds if not thousands of Dragons." Almost quietly Tallahar added, "But that would be years away if I am honest."

"Yes, yes... I know we have land and people. But what kind of funding do you need? Food, shoes, training, all of that costs gold. I want to know what it's going to cost me, and what kind of profits we can expect in return. Making Harrenhal a breeding center for war horses could be lucritive for both our reputation and finances. However, I need numbers before I can make a decision." Belric took the treasury seriously, knowing if they ran out of money the winter would become a lot colder. He knew Tallahar was on to something, but Belric needed more than a good idea to convince him.
