Belric put his hand to his chin in thought, trying to recall events nearly a week past. "I am not sure actually. Saesha was the first one up here, but I don't think anything had been touched before that. It's possible things were moved to make room since we took back Harrenhal. We should talk to the servants and see if they have seen a lockbox of some sort."

"Yes, I think that's a good idea. The castle is so big, Danelle's things could be anywhere. Maybe Uncle Jon knows something, but we should talk to any of the servants who were here before us. But-" She glanced around worriedly. "I do want to talk to you about other things as well, if you have time. Would you prefer to go sit in your solar? I don't want to intrude longer than I must."

Belric got up from looking underneath the bed, straining slightly while he put his weight on his left knee. Bloodraven lived on in the aches of Belric's wounds.
"I have time," He said with intrigue. Belric showed not intention of moving the conversation to his solar. Violet was his sister, he was hardly embarrassed for her to see where he sleeps. "What is it you wish to talk about?"

"We've hardly had time to talk," she said. "And you've got so many duties now, I doubt that will change much. I will help you where I can, though I'm not sure I have the right skills for most of it. But I can help you make friends among the Riverlords, and I would like to marry, which will help you gain an ally. But I can't do those things without your consent and assistance."

Belric had been thinking of his sister a lot recently and the roll she could play to help secure his seat. There were few tools as useful as a beautiful woman when it came to politics. Belric was quickly learning this fact with his own wife, who had won him over with ease. He stood in silence for a moment, thinking through his options.
"You are a smart girl Violet, and I have been spending a lot of time thinking about your future. It is good to hear that you would like to marry, and that you understand your commitment to this family. There are several prospects I have considered, though with the little I know presently, I cannot decide which is the right one. I would see you marry into a powerful house, one where your influence would be most vital."
He walked over and took a seat at the foot of the bed, gesturing for Violet to take a seat as well. He rubbed his hands through his hair, laughing inside at the fact that only a few short weeks ago he was nothing more than a knight. Now he was ruling lands and brokering marriages for his kin. "I will be sending our uncle Jon through the Riverlands soon, to act as my emissary. I have been considering sending you with him, in hopes that you can catch the eye of a powerful house. Does that interest you?"

Her heart leapt. Harrenhal's great walls and towers already felt oppressive to her and it would be wonderful to see other places without such a dire reputations. She sat next to Belric.
"I would like that very much," she said. "I don't know many of the lords yet, of course. I met Lord Roote at the wedding and...one of the Brackens, though I doubt he would remember me." She smiled a little sadly as she said "He was a little drunk. I don't know anyone else."

"I don't know many of their names either," Belric said honestly. "But we will learn them. Do what you can to earn their proclivity, but do so under good judgement. Do not latch yourself to one lord, even if they seem particularly fond of you. Men tend to enjoy the chase, and you would be smart to present an air of unattainability. And you must listen to your uncle, he has a sharp tongue and a caring ear." Belric was feeling rather patriarchal, he never expected to be overly protective. Yet now that Violet was ready to leave, he couldn't help but worry. The girl had a talent for finding trouble, and trouble was equally gifted in finding her.

"I won't throw myself at any man," she promised. "And I'll be careful. Do you have any particular notion as to which lords we should cultivate first? Who would make the best allies? I think we should focus on the lords who have the most wealth or power, because they will be the greatest threat if they should turn against us."

"Good," Belric said, seemingly satisfied by his sisters answer. "I don't know where I'll be sending you first. It makes sense to strengthen our boarders and the relationships of our allies. Both Lord Bracken and Lord Roote share a boarder to our lands and an allegiance to King Daemon. If we were to ever need aid, I would like to be able to call upon them."

"Yes, that makes sense. Alice is ripe for marriage too, and Edmure, probably. Nyles is young but he could be betrothed, and Dacey..." She hesitated. "It might be harder to find a husband for Dacey, because she's not very, um, ladylike. But we should be able to find quite a few allies through marriage."

"Marriages will come in time, I have no doubt. On your journey, take note of any possible matches for your brothers and sister." Belric let slip a smile, at Dacey's expense. "We will need to find Dacey someone... special."

"Yes. We'll find her someone." She smiled hopefully. "Which of our knights will join us? We'll need an escort."

"You will have a proper escort, no need to worry, though I have not decided who will go. I still haven't spoken to Jon about this, and want him to have men he can trust. Is there anyone in particular that you have in mind?"

"Not really," Violet admitted. "Uncle Hoster is perhaps a little volatile. Perhaps our bastard brother Symon, or Ser Yoren?"

"I will take that into consideration," Belric said, standing up and walking over to the door. "Let us continue this talk with Jon, perhaps we can find him in his solar."
