What were our knightly arms before Redgrass field? The same sans dead raven?

Think we decided a black fort with a knight in front.

Would our original banners not be on a field of green to honor our motherhouse? And if not, would a white banner not be confused as a flag of surrender?

Here was the proposal for our original sigil before the lordship:

Would our original banners not be on a field of green to honor our motherhouse? And if not, would a white banner not be confused as a flag of surrender? Not if it had a big black fort on the foreground. House Stark has a gray direwolf on a white background. Coat of arms should be kept as simple in design as possible.

Should change our house words on the originl... And you are right about the Stark Flag.

I mean it hardly matters what the original sigil was, just as long as you guys know what it was. It should hopefully never come up.
That looks awesome Pyke! Awesome job.

I personally like the contrast between the old and simple Black Fort on White compared to our super-cool-new-dead-white-raven-with-sword-on-red-look-at-us! design. As usual, it's up to you guys. Though having an identical sigil to another house just with the colors reversed might be a tad lazy on our part, as cool as it looks.

We're best buds with the Blackfyres. I'd say recoloring sigils is in fashion.

Here's House Redfort made Black. Looks great! What about putting a black raven (such as the one below) underneath the fort to indicate the triumph of House Blackfort over Bloodraven? Makes it different enough to House Redfort. Or alternatively a splash of red, representing blood, somewhere (or perhaps a red raven - raven bathed in blood?) That would make our house livery, black, white and red. Bit I like just the black and white too.

We already have our new sigil, it's a few pages back in the thread. It wouldn't really make much sense to have a raven on our old one when we have nothing to do with Bloodraven yet.

I was more suggesting that the black fort on the white background be our current coat of arms. The raven would be added to that after Redgrass.
